Georgia Institute of Technology. The School of History, Technology, and Society (HTS) invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Sociology, specializing in the Sociology of Technology, with an ability to teach graduate-level research methods. The position will begin Fall 2011. PhD must be completed by the time of appointment. Georgia Tech is a research university in the heart of Atlanta. HTS is an interdisciplinary unit composed of sociologists and historians. The successful candidate must demonstrate excellence in both research and teaching, and will be expected to contribute to the unit’s undergraduate program and Ph.D. program in History and Sociology of Technology and Science.
