A panel discussion with UCSD faculty Yen Le Espiritu and Dennis Childs
Professors Espiritu and Childs will lead a discussion about the challenges faced by graduate students who are not only the first in their families to attend graduate school, but who are also the first to graduate from a four-year college or university. This population often confronts unique economic, educational, and social challenges in graduate school. These issues span differences in race, gender, and sexual orientation.
